Quakers facing a game every three days

DARLINGTON are facing the daunting task of having to play an average of a game every three days during the weeks following Christmas after new dates for three matches were revealed.[LNB] Dates have now been confirmed for the club's recent postponed games, with the Boxing Day home match signalling the start of 12 games in 38 days.[LNB] Into an already packed January programme have been crammed two rearranged home games against Histon (Jan 11) and Kidderminster (Jan 18) after they were postponed recently due to the weather.[LNB] Also called off was the trip to Luton, due to Quakers' involvement in the FA Cup, and that has now been arranged for the first day in February.[LNB] Manager Mark Cooper is not concerned and believes once he has been able to make additions to his squad they will be able to cope with the demanding schedule.[LNB] I'm not one for making excuses and we'll deal with it if we have to play three games in a week, he said.[LNB] I'm sure there'll be other teams doing it.[LNB] Once we strengthen in January we should be able to cope with the number of games.[LNB] There's two or three positions I'm looking at but it wouldn't be fair of me to name them.[LNB] I have to consider the players currently occupying those positions.[LNB] We're just going to add three or four really good players to help the group that we've already got.[LNB] Cooper's team are in action at Cambridge United tomorrow, weather permitting, and the squad travels today.[LNB] Among the party will be Paul Arnison and Liam Hatch, both of whom were suspended for Tuesday evening's FA Trophy win over Tamworth.[LNB]
