The Quakers included Huddersfield's Olusola Aganun in their starting line-up and it was he who handed Colin Todd's side the lead after 28 minutes, following up after Lee Thorpe's effort had been blocked.[LNB]Thorpe did get his name on the scoresheet just five minutes later, heading home after more good work from the impressive Mark Convery down the right.[LNB]A host of substitutes were introduced as the game wore on, with Todd using the opportunity to have a look at trialists James Marwood and Ricky Baines.[LNB]And despite a stoppage-time consolation from Jordan Missin, Darlington held on for a morale-boosting triumph before the start of their League Two campaign.[LNB]The futures of Aganun and Baines currently hang in the balance, although Marwood was informed after the clash that a deal will not be put on the table.[LNB][LNB]
