Quakers boss vows to soldier on

Quakers have fallen away as promotion contenders owing to a 10-point deduction and are now struggling to field a side with their loan players recalled and several first-team regulars ruled out by injury. As a result, Penney has been forced to employ players out of their regular positions and call members of the youth team into his side, but he is refusing to buckle under the pressure. "We've got apprentices on the bench but that's where we're at and we've got to work with them," he told the Northern Echo. "I can't fault anyone. We've got to work with these players, no-one else can help us out. We can't get any help, the loans have gone back and we can't bring anyone in. We've got to soldier on with what we've got."
