Quakers boss rues poor defending

Andy Procter had put the hosts ahead at the Crown Ground on Friday night before Kevin Gallen put the Quakers on level terms only to see Billy Kee score the winner for Accrington with six minutes to play. "The signs were there in the first half but we got away with it. I felt there was an improvement to come but we didn't defend at all well," said Todd. "What annoys me is that we can play. The forwards came into the game in the second half but our defending was alarming. It should be simple to mark in the box but, at times, it was shocking. "I take responsibility but we have got to see improvement. If their movement was terrific then I would hold my hand up but we didn't defend well. I need to bring in two full backs to tighten up."
