Quakers back in Trophy action

After three postponements Darlington return to action this evening at The Northern Echo Arena in the FA Trophy their first game in the competition since 1990.[LNB] The club have not contested the Trophy since their previous season in the Conference two decades ago when Brian Little's side lost in the quarter-finals to Leek Town.[LNB] In the first round that season Darlington were paired with Billingham Synthonia, while this evening Quakers face Tamworth who only visited the Arena for a league game last month.[LNB] Danny Hone scored the goal that night and the fixture remains Darlington's most recent victory having failed to win any of their three matches since while another three games have been postponed. Tonight's fixture was due to be played on Saturday but was postponed due to a frozen pitch.[LNB] Manager Mark Cooper hands a recall to on loan striker Jefferson Louis while Curtis Main is also in the starting XI as is Chris Moore.[LNB] The trio start in place of Chris Senior, Liam Hatch and Tommy Wright.
