Quakers are aiming to put together string of victories

Darlington are at Bath City today bidding to win back-to-back games for the first time this season.[LNB] And Mark Cooper says putting together a run of victories is what is required if Quakers are to rise towards the top of the Blue Square Premier.[LNB] His team are seventh having won three matches, though they have yet to win two in a row and are aiming to build on last week's 3-0 defeat of Forest Green Rovers.[LNB] We need to win two games on the bounce and we'll be doing everything we can to do that on Saturday, said Cooper, who has adopted a stern approach to training since the 1-1 draw at Eastbourne a fortnight ago.[LNB] The only way you get towards the top of the table is by stringing three or four wins together so that's what we want to do. Hopefully, the players have got the message.[LNB] They've still not had a day off but once they start winning back-to-back games they might get one.[LNB] We want to be the fittest team in the league and make sure that towards the end of games we're kicking on and hurting teams.[LNB] There's been no midweek matches so we're making the most of the time we've had.[LNB] We've got a couple of midweek games coming which will be a more demanding time.[LNB] Today's game marks the first of four in ten days.[LNB] Quakers are at home to Luton on Tuesday and then Southport next Saturday before travelling to York a week on Monday.[LNB] The York game will be televised by Premier Sports who announced yesterday they will also screen Quakers' home game with Barrow on January 3. Kick-off has been put back from 3pm to 4pm.[LNB] Meanwhile, two of Darlington's fringe players have left on loan. Winger Chris Moore has joined Spennymoor Town while teenage midfielder Corey Barnes has gone to Whitby Town.[LNB] Moore played against Moors on Tuesday in a friendly and will make his debut today against Norton.[LNB] Barnes also featured in Tuesday's 1-1 draw at the Brewery Field which Whitby boss Harry Dunn watched from the stands.[LNB]
