Police appeal for help in hunt for hooligans

TWELVE football hooligans who disrupted a match between two North-East teams are being sought by police.[LNB] Photographs of the 12 men who invaded the pitch during the match between Darlington and Newcastle have been issued by Durham constabulary.[LNB] They were among approximately 1,000 fans who took to the turf at The Northern Echo Arena last month.[LNB] The pitch incursions led to the the match, which was attended by nearly 9,700 supporters, being temporarily abandoned while police and stewards tried to restore order.[LNB] Anybody with any information about the men pictured are asked to call PC Amanda Holland on 0345-6060-365 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.[LNB]
