Penney raids former club

Darlington manager Dave Penney has raided former club Doncaster Rovers to sign young midfielder Anthony Griffith on loan.

Griffith was signed by Penney during his spell at Belle Vue, but the 20-year-old defensive midfielder hasn't made a first-team appearance since October.

Meanwhile, the Quakers have been rocked by the news that Darren Holloway will be sidelined for the next four weeks.

The defender suffered a hamstring strain during the 3-1 win over Lincoln City on Saturday and now faces a race against time to be fit for the busy festive period.
