Penney quits as Quakers boss

Dave Penney has ended his two-and-a-half year reign as Darlington manager to take the reins at Oldham Athletic.
Penney will be unveiled in his new job later on Thursday, following weeks of speculation linking him with a host of managerial vacancies.
The 44-year-old had guided the Quakers to a top three place in League Two this season and they looked to be heading towards automatic promotion, before they were placed into administration and docked ten points back in February.
Penney had also guided the north-east club to the play-offs last season where they lost to Rochdale.
"Penney had two years to run on his Quakers contract but Oldham won't have to pay any compensation with Darlington being in administration," read a club statement.
"We wish Dave Penney every success in the future."
