Darlington manager Dave Penney is delighted to have made Hereford United midfielder Rob Purdie his latest summer signing.
The 24-year-old has penned a two-year deal with the Quakers to become Penney's seventh signing since the end of the season.
Penney told the Northern Echo: "Rob's exactly the sort of player we're looking for to take this football club forward.
"Although a midfielder he can play virtually anywhere on the pitch.
"The squad is starting to come together and I expect the new faces to make a real impact.
"We've got some quality in the squad now and I certainly don't rule out there being more additions.
Purdie made more than 200 appearances for the Bulls during his five years at Edgar Street following his free transfer switch from Leicester City.
