Penney drops for Quakers

Darlington have unveiled former Doncaster Rovers boss Dave Penney as their new manager.
The Quakers, who sacked Dave Hodgson four weeks ago, had plenty of interest in the vacancy, but chairman George Houghton was surprised to be able to appoint someone with Penney's track record.
The 42-year-old left Doncaster in August after guiding the South Yorkshire club from the Conference to League One during his five-year spell in charge at Belle Vue.
"This is a major coup for Darlington Football Club," said Houghton.
"Dave Penney is regarded as one of the most talented young managers around. His achievements with Doncaster were exceptional and we are delighted he has chosen to come to Darlington.
"Dave's ambition matches that of this club and we will give him all the support and backing he needs to bring long-awaited success to Darlington."
Martin Gray, who had acted as caretaker boss since Hodgson's exit, has accepted the position of assistant-manager.
