Penney delighted by Quakers win

Jason Kennedy's 30-yard strike after just four minutes separated the teams at half-time before Rory McArdle's own-goal virtually ended Dale's chances of automatic promotion. Penney said: "It's not about reflecting on what could have been had we not lost those 10 points, what's been done has been done and let's just concentrate on this result. "This was all about putting on a performance in front of the television cameras, getting a good result and stopping people trying to pick up points and getting to where we should have quite rightly been in the table. "It was a great performance from us when you consider we've got the club captain sidelined and we've had to send the players we had in on loan back to their parent clubs. "When you come to places like this with such a depleted squad you don't want to get embarrassed and when we've played the division's top teams, we've done well."
