First-half goals by John Johnson and Abdul Osman boosted Northampton's play-off hopes and pushed Darlington closer to relegation out of the league.The Cobblers' biggest home league gate of the season saw defender Johnson open the scoring after an Adebayo Akinfenwa shot hit the underside of the crossbar. Osman made it 2-0 before the break when the visitors failed to clear a corner.
