More misery for Quakers

Darlington's miserable season hit another new low, as they lost their fifth successive league game after being demolished by 5-0 Torquay.[LNB] The home side were on of the sides Quakers felt they were capable of catching at the foot of League Two.[LNB] But hope for Steve Staunton's side is fast running out. They lie 11 points behind third-bottom Lincoln with a far worse goal difference.[LNB] Staunton has won just two games since taking over and Quakers, who have used an astonishing 41 players this season, appear doomed.[LNB] Chris Zebroski volleyed in the first and then set up Wayne Carlisle to double the lead, before Scott Rendell headed in Jake Thomson's corner.[LNB] The Gulls piled on the pressure as Carlisle's hooked shot bounced off the bar for Zebroski to nod in the fourth.[LNB] Substitute Elliot Benyon made it five when he collected Thomson's cross from the right to volley home from 15 yards.[LNB]
