Miller out to spoil some parties

IAN Miller admits he has had his run-ins with Rochdale but would rather Darlington concentrate on their own game at Spotland tomorrow evening.[LNB] Although relegation is all but assured, Quakers will go down tomorrow should they fail to win against the club who knocked them out of the play-offs two years ago.[LNB] It's always nice to spoil a party, but we've got to think about ourselves first. We could also spoil a lot of other clubs' seasons too, said Miller, mindful of the fact Darlington have still to play second-placed Notts County and travel to third-placed Bournemouth on Saturday.[LNB] Rochdale have been there or thereabouts in previous years, we've just got to try and keep another clean sheet like we did against Accrington.[LNB] On a personal level I've got a score to settle with them, having not had the chance to play at Wembley two years ago.[LNB] Regardless of tomorrow's result, Darlington will be relegated to the Blue Square Premier if Cheltenham and Torquay gain a point in their respective matches.[LNB] Fourth-bottom Torquay stunned Dale on Saturday by inflicting a 5-0 defeat at Plainmoor, a result which leaves Keith Hill's side anticipating a promotion party tomorrow.[LNB] Miller added: That 5-0 just shows you what this league is all about. Any team can go to any other and pick up a good result.[LNB] Keith Hill and David Flitcroft have got things very switched on there. They like to play football and they've got some good players like Jason Kennedy, who left us last year, who is technically very good.[LNB] They've been in this league long enough and now it looks like they're going to get out of it.[LNB] Saturday's 0-0 draw with Accrington may not have been entertaining, but Quakers' skipper was satisfied that Darlington kept a clean sheet for only the fifth time.[LNB] He said: I wouldn't imagine it was a great spectacle but from our point of view we kept a clean sheet so we got a point.[LNB] It makes a change to keep a clean sheet.[LNB] I didn't think they put us under a great deal of pressure.[LNB] We matched them and bettered them in most departments.[LNB] Tadhg Purcell had a couple of chances, Josh Gray had a couple too, but it was just one of those games which fizzled out to nothing.[LNB] Meanwhile, manager Simon Davey revealed after Saturday's game that he has on trial a German defender who watched Saturday's game from the directors' box.[LNB]
