Miller hopes to return for Quakers
Darlington captain Ian Miller hopes to return for Saturday's clash with Forest Green after having an injection in his troublesome knee.[LNB] The skipper has missed Quakers' last three matches with a knee injury, including last weekend's disappointing draw against nine-man Eastbourne Borough and the 26- year-old hopes the treatment will speed up his recovery.[LNB] The injury has been slow and steady, I've been with the physio for the last couple of weeks with a niggling knee injury and I'm having a steroid injection so that should see me fit, he said.[LNB] I'm the worst person to sit in the stand and watch games, especially when things aren't going brilliantly like on Saturday, but there's no point in going out there injured, I'll cause more problems than I'm worth, so hopefully I can get fit and get available for selection.[LNB] Miller admits the draw at Eastbourne was a hard result given the good position Darlington were in after the home side had two players sent off and played almost an hour without a recognised goalkeeper.[LNB] It was a bitter pill to swallow,[LNB] said Miller, speaking to BBC Tees.[LNB] They've gone down to nine men and we go one nil up and we should be scoring four or five, but we started the second half sloppy and relaxed too much which gave them a chance but it was disappointing against a team with no keeper.[LNB] The gaffer wasn't very happy with the lads and they won't be happy with their performance.[LNB] But it was a long way back for the players to think about the performance and hopefully they'll put it right in training this week.[LNB]
