Diop has missed new manager Simon Davey's first two games in charge with a hamstring strain, while defender Giddings (groin) has missed six games since hobbling out of the 1-1 draw at Bury last month.[LNB] Davey also has midfielder Nathan Mulligan available again as he has recovered from illness. But he is without midfielder Gareth Waite who has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a persistent knee injury that requires surgery.[LNB] Defender Mark Bower (ankle) and midfielder Chris Lumsdon (match fitness) are still not ready to return after long lay-offs. He has been struggling all season with a groin problem, his only appearance coming in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in September. Boss John Coleman made six changes for Monday's game with Grimsby in which Stanley took a 2-0 lead but lost 3-2 for what was the club's fifth consecutive defeat. Afterwards the manager's anger was such that he locked the players in the dressing room for almost an hour-and-a-half after the final whistle. He later said: "It's the lowest point of my career. To be honest I felt like crying." Accrington climbed to within touching distance of the play-offs after successive wins last month but the five-game losing run has seen them slide to 14th, 11 points adrift of the top seven. Comment by Craig Stoddart: If Darlington can replicate the form shown in last Saturday's win at Burton they should ensure Accrington's losing run continues. Prediction: 2-1[LNB]
