Head youth-team coach Liddle and centre of excellence manager Neil Maddison have been placed in temporary charge for the second time this season following the sacking of Steve Staunton on Sunday after the Quakers had crashed to their 26th league defeat of the season.[LNB]Liddle, who took on the same role after Colin Todd's departure in September, said: "We inherit a squad that can win games. They have proved that by beating Rotherham twice, and Shrewsbury, two of the better sides in the league.[LNB]"In football you always have to look forward, so we don't want to dwell on our league position, or the problems the club has faced this season.[LNB]"Instead we step out with a clean slate, looking to play well, win and boost morale."[LNB]Liddle added: "Football can be a cruel game and while I'm sure that you agree some of the performances have improved, it is a results-led business, and we have to strive as hard as possible to add to our points tally."[LNB][LNB]
