Striker Julian Joachim is set to stay with Darlington this season, having looked poised to move on a matter of weeks ago.
The 32-year-old had been keen to move closer to his Lincolnshire home, but has now sorted his domestic problems out and is committed to the Quakers' cause.
Chairman George Houghton told the Northern Echo: "Julian had family problems but he has resolved that now.
"His family are going to come up here every weekend which he is very happy about and I think we are going to see a different Julian.
"I wanted him to stay, he wasn't too sure because of his family situation, but that is sorted out now."
