Injured Waite misses out for Darlington

A knee injury means Gareth Waite today misses his first game since joining Darlington.[LNB] Quakers are at Shrewsbury Town and Waite travelled with the squad yesterday, but a knee problem sees the former Spennymoor man left out of the team.[LNB] In his place comes 18-year-old winger Josh Gray as the only change while caretaker boss Craig Liddle switches formation from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2.[LNB] However, Waite's injury means Quakers are only able to name six subs.[LNB] After Gray entered the fray in a 4-4-2 formation Darlington were much better in Tuesday's second half against Aldershot Town and hope for a continuation of that form at the Prostar Stadium today.[LNB] The match represents Quakers' third visit to the stadium, following the Shrews' move from Gay Meadow, but Darlington have yet to score at the venue.[LNB] While bottom-of-the-table Quakers have picked up only one point in their last nine games, Paul Simpson's Shrewsbury are tenth and won only one of their last six matches.[LNB] The Shrews are on the fringes of the play-off race but Simpson is under mounting pressure. His side have lost their last three games and is the only club in the division to have this season lost to both Darlington and second-bottom Grimsby.[LNB] Last Saturday Shrewsbury last 2-0 at Aldershot and failed to record a shot on target.[LNB] *For updates throughout the game go to twitter.com/CStoddartEcho[LNB] Referee: David Phillips (Sussex)[LNB] Shrewsbury Town (4-3-1-2): Button; Holden, Cansdell-Sherriff, Langmead, Skarz; Dunfield, Murray, McIntyre; Cureton; Robinson, Hibbert.
