Stockport County have signed injury-plagued striker Adam Proudlock on non-contract terms.
The 25-year-old is a free agent after being allowed to leave Ipswich Town at the end of last season and has been given the chance to earn a permanent stay at Edgeley Park.
Hatters boss Jim Gannon said: "We are giving the lad an opportunity to prove himself. There's no doubt he has got the ability.
"He is more than capable if he keeps up his level of match fitness. We'll review him in five or six weeks."
Proudlock has also played for Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Tranmere Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday during his career.
