Gray made redundant by Quakers

Gray is poised to join up with former Darlington boss Dave Penney at Oldham but is worried for the future of the Quakers after Brackenbury Clark and Co, the administrators, told him his services were no longer required. "This is not the fault of the administrators, they've done this to try to keep the club alive," Gray told the Northern Echo. "They are here to do a job and they've had to make some decisions. "He (the administrator) thanked me for everything I've done, for the charity game and the way I've conducted myself, and said he's going to have to sack me. "This isn't about me, what's important is Darlington Football Club and the people who lost jobs."
