Gray - Financial strain hurting

30 March 2009 13:01
The Quakers manager was furious with the treatment of his players after bookings at the team's London hotel were cancelled ahead of Saturday's trip to cut costs. The administrator's decision meant Penney's side faced a gruelling five-hour bus trip to Underhill on Saturday morning, and Gray admitted the club's off-pitch situation is beginning to have a detrimental effect on their on-pitch performance. "I think he's frustrated, and I understand why," he said. "We have prepared right all season, we get to the most important stage and things have gone badly, we prepared to come down on Thursday but then we were told we weren't able to do so. "It's very frustrating because we set our standards very high."
