Foran back with Quakers

Southend United striker Richie Foran has returned to Darlington for a second loan spell.

The 28-year-old has been snapped up by Quakers boss Dave Penney on a month's loan after drifting out of the first-team picture at Roots Hall.

Foran has not featured in Steve Tilson's plans so far this season and has played no football since his loan spell at Darlington which ended in March.

Southend paid Motherwell £150,000 for Foran's services in January 2007 since when he has scored only twice in 23 appearances for the club.
