Davey wants a repeat away performance
AFTER pulling off a shock win on Tuesday, Darlington manager Simon Davey wants to see a repeat performance tomorrow at Bournemouth however, he will be unable to field same XI due to a series of injuries.[LNB] Quakers' 1-0 win at promotion-chasing Rochdale, when relegation was confirmed, came at a cost with nine players now either unavailable or in doubt for this weekend.[LNB] Right-back Paul Arnison limped off with a hamstring strain so may miss the last six matches of the season while defender Andrew Milne is also out of tomorrow's game at the promotion-chasing Cherries.[LNB] Milne replaced Arnison at Spotland but had to be substituted with a back problem which is expected to keep him out for a minimum of two matches.[LNB] Left-back Stuart Giddings also has a back injury and skipper Ian Miller a hernia problem with both players' chances of starting tomorrow rated as touch and go.[LNB] Doubtful are midfielder Gary Smith (calf and ankle) and winger Josh Gray (ankle), neither of whom have trained since Tuesday.[LNB] Striker Mor Diop will be on the bench despite being rated at only 70 per cent fit due to an ankle knock while defender Richie Byrne is part of the 18-man squad which travels today but is nursing a back complaint.[LNB] Curtis Main (ankle) and Gareth Waite, who underwent a knee operation yesterday, have already been ruled out for the remaining matches.[LNB] We'll have to patch a few up and send them out, said the manager who has arranged for a training session at Coventry City en route to the south coast today.[LNB] However, defender Mark Bower is available after he returned from four months on the sidelines with ankle injury by playing the final 20 minute as a substitute at Rochdale.[LNB] He's not had much training but we had to bring him into the squad because of Richie Byrne's back injury,[LNB] said Davey.[LNB] We had been building up his training programme to gradually bring him into the squad but he'll be okay for Saturday.[LNB] Similar to Rochdale's task on Tuesday, Bournemouth will be bidding to edge closer to promotion as they are six points clear of the play-off places.[LNB] It's another test, said Davey. There was no bigger test than the other night against Rochdale and we came through with flying colours.''[LNB]
