Darlo boss delighted after win

After entering administration last week and being handed a 10-point penalty, an early goal from Robin Hulbert was enough to secure a 1-0 victory for the Quakers. Penney was forced to name members of the club's youth team in his squad and was understandably delighted with their showing. "Everybody in a Darlington shirt was first class. We had to put some kids in and it's a great experience for them but you have to be careful that they don't end up being burnt out," said Penney. "Our loan players had to return to their clubs so we had little choice really and everyone stepped up to the plate. "There weren't many out there that you could say were regular first-team players but they did everything that I asked of them and possibly a little bit more. Danny Carlton played the lone front man for us and he ran his socks off."
