DARLINGTON: Josh Gray is Quakers only injury concern as they bid to record their first win of the season. The young winger is on the way to recovering from a hamstring problem that has sidelined hi since pre-season. Striker Curtis Main does not have a hernia problem, as originally feared, while defender Matt Plummer is expected to shake off a dead leg.

BURY: Strikers Danny Carlton, Andy Bishop and Andy Morrell are all out. Carlton played on loan for Quakers last season but he will be out for at least four months after snapping an Achilles during the midweek defeat to West Brom. Bishop, scorer of 17 goals last season, and Morrell are both recovering from summer hernia operations. Shakers boss Alan Knill has responded to the striker shortage by bringing in 21-year-old Jordan Robertson on loan from Sheffield United. He will partner Ryan Lowe who last season scored a stunning volley from a narrow angle at the Arena for Chester.
