Convery keen on Darlington deal
The midfielder was released by the Quakers four years ago and was let go by Cambridge at the end of last season, having spent time on loan at Weymouth.
Now back at Darlington on trial, the 28-year-old excelled in Friday's 3-0 friendly win at Billingham Town.
Convery told the Northern Echo: "It is up to me to force their hand. They have signed a lot of decent players in every position so it's just up to me to get my head down and see where it takes me.
"There's no rush. The lads who have already agreed stuff haven't signed yet. I just have to come in every day to training and try to impress. I had an opportunity to go to a few clubs down south but this was an opportunity I could not overlook."
