Darlington striker John Campbell hopes for another chance when Quakers head to Wales this evening.[LNB] Newport County is the destination with Campbell's place in the side uncertain after the 22-year-old lasted only half an hour of Saturday's defeat at Crawley Town before being substituted.[LNB] Mark Cooper took action after being left disappointed by Campbell's sluggish start at the Broadfield Stadium, saying there was a lack of movement in the forward line.[LNB] Saturday was the fifth time in Campbell's six starts since joining in January in which he has been substituted, and Cooper explained: "I didn't think John was at it.[LNB] "There wasn't enough movement up front. We were trying to put balls in the box but he wasn't there and if he wants to score goals he's got to get into the box. He didn't do that and that's why he was brought off.[LNB] "We think he's going to be a decent player, but he's got to learn and learn quickly."[LNB] The former Newcastle Benfield striker was replaced by Nathan Modest who is in contention to start in South Wales while Michael Smith and Chris Senior also hope for a return to action.[LNB] Curtis Main and Tommy Wright, however, are out of favour as are wingers Chris Moore and Josh Gray.[LNB] Liam Hatch is one of the first names on Cooper's team sheet having scored 14 goals though the manager admits he may not play this weekend.[LNB] Quakers' leading scorer also tops the club's cautions count, on 13, and two more before Sunday would trigger a three-game ban.[LNB] "He's got to get to the second Sunday in April without getting to 15 bookings," explained Cooper.[LNB] "If he gets in danger of getting to 15 bookings then we won't play him, it's as simple as that."[LNB] Centre-back Adam Quinn hopes for a return tonight after being unable to play on Saturday. He played in last Tuesday's 1-0 at Grimsby Town when Quakers used a 3-5-2 formation, though Cooper reverted to 4-1-2-1-2 on Saturday when Marc Bridge-Wilkinson returned from injury.[LNB] Tonight Aman Verma will return to the midfield after missing out on Saturday with a groin strain.[LNB] Quakers beat Newport 1-0 on the first day of the season, though they have since lost Dean Holdsworth as manager.[LNB] They are eighth, one place above Darlington, and last week appointed Tottenham reserve team coach Anthony Hudson as manager.[LNB] Cooper said: "We beat them at the start of the season but they started to turn things around and were having a great season.[LNB] "Losing Dean Holdsworth to Aldershot was a major blow for them and knocked the stuffing out of them.[LNB] "But they've brought in Anthony Hudson now and I'm sure they're all be out to impress him, so we'll expect nothing other than a tough test."[LNB] Today's game is Quakers' second trek in succession.[LNB] Crawley represented a 580 mile round trip while Newport will be another 534 miles for Cooper's men.[LNB] He said: "We can use that as an excuse but we won't. Men and women go out to work all day every day, 12-hour shifts, we can't and won't use travelling as an excuse.[LNB] "We're travel on the day, have our lunch on the bus and we'll prepare as we normally do so we won't look for any excuses."[LNB] n Darlington have so far sold 3,850 tickets for the FA Trophy final with Mansfield Town on May 7.[LNB]
