Byrne completes Darlo switch

The 28-year-old Irish left-back, who spent the second half of last season with Inverness after joining them from Oldham last January, will go straight into Steve Staunton's squad for next weekend's home game with Rotherham.[LNB]Byrne had a loan spell with St Johnstone earlier this season and spent two seasons with Dunfermline, who he helped reach the 2004 Scottish Cup final.[LNB]He is Darlington manager Steve Staunton's seventh signing since the turn of the year.[LNB]Meanwhile, young Quakers midfielder Dan Riley has joined Northern League first division side Billingham Town on loan for a month.[LNB][LNB]
