BREAKING NEWS: Quakers relegated despite brave victory
DARLINGTON dropped out of the Football League despite claiming a 1-0 win over Coca-Cola League Two title-chasing Rochdale at Spotland tonight.[LNB] Nathan Mulligan's 35th-minute goal secured the Quakers seventh win of the season, but their fate was sealed by Torquay's 2-0 win at Aldershot and Cheltenham's 0-0 draw at Shrewsbury.[LNB] Notts County took advantage of Dales defeat to climb to the top of the table by one point with a 3-1 victory over Lincoln.[LNB] Lee Hughes netted in the opening 60 seconds and Graeme Lee (65) and Delroy Facey (87) were on target after Steven Lennon had equalised for the Imps.[LNB]
