Boss praises Quakers attitude

Pawel Abbott's opener was cancelled out when Ian Miller put through his own goal, but Abbott stepped up to score a late winner that earned the Quakers a top-half finish. Gray, who was put in charge following Dave Penney's resignation on Thursday, said: "To sign off with a win when the players had nothing to play for was fantastic. "It was important for us to win the game. Dave Penney said to me 'make sure you go out and win the game' because that would have put us in the play-offs had we not been deducted the points for going into administration. "We were in control of the game until they scored but the response of the players was excellent. "Pawel Abbott is pound-for-pound probably the best forward in this league. He has had three chances and scored from two of them."
