Boss angered by players treatment

Preparations for the Quakers' 460-mile round trip to North London were sent into chaos on Friday when the administrators of the club cancelled the team's hotel booking to cut costs. That meant a near five-hour journey for Penney's men on Saturday morning but Darlington still managed to grind out a hard-fought win and the Quakers boss said: "The players have been treated like amateurs by the football club and I'm not prepared to speak about the game." On the pitch Pawel Abbott's fourth goal of the season was enough to give Darlington all three points at Underhill and keep their play-off hopes alive despite the Quakers suffering a 10-point penalty for entering administration last month.
