Black Cat in York squad

SUNDERLAND midfielder Robbie Weir is available to help York City take on Darlington in the FA Cup second round this afternoon.[LNB] Like fellow loanee Ashley Chambers, Weir was ruled out of York's 3-0 first-round replay victory over Rotherham, having signed after the initial 0-0 draw at Don Valley Stadium.[LNB] But the 21-year-old has been included in the squad for today's game, and with his side having surged up the Blue Square Bet Premier table in recent weeks, York boss Gary Mills is delighted to be back to full strength for the short trip.[LNB] They (Weir and Chambers) have been great since they came here, said Mills.[LNB] Against Rushden (a 4-0 win) and Southport (a 2-0 win), they both did really well.[LNB] Ashley's quick and has got a lot of ability. Against Southport, he was hampered by an elbow injury he got at Rushden, but he is okay.[LNB] Robbie is not slow either and he gets the ball back very quickly for us. I've been delighted with both of them.[LNB] Up to 1,500 York fans are expected for the game, and with more than 1,000 supporters having travelled to Rotherham in round one, Mills is hoping for another raucous afternoon.[LNB] It shows there is something special about the FA Cup, he said. Like myself, the supporters would like nothing better than to be in the hat for the third round draw come 6pm on Sunday.[LNB] That's why everyone wants to go we are 90 minutes away from being able to play against a Premier League side.[LNB] The fans have been superb since I came to the club.[LNB] They've really got behind us.[LNB] It's not too dissimilar to Rotherham in that we will be playing in a big stadium that's not going to be full.[LNB] Former Darlington defender David McGurk is expected to feature, despite having expressed a desire to join York's Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Luton town earlier this week.[LNB]
