Barnett arrives after Threlfall snub

Barnett, who can play at centre-back or left-back, will go straight into Steve Staunton's squad for Saturday's game against Dagenham, but Threlfall has returned to parent club Liverpool after snubbing a move to the Darlington Arena on Tuesday. Quakers boss Statunton said: "Everyone was happy with the deal with Robbie, but on Friday morning he had a change of heart after talking to Liverpool's reserve team coach. "This happens and we move on. I don't want players here who don't want to be here, and we're delighted that Moses was available. We know a lot about him, we knew we needed a left-back and he was one of three players we were looking at. "He's a very athletic player, tall and quick, so he should be a good acquisition for us. We're looking to bring players in from Premier League clubs so hopefully this is a positive sign." Barnett has been a regular fixture in Everton's Academy side and has also represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level.
