Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still has hit out at the transfer window, saying it works against smaller clubs like his own.
Still is desperate to try and bolster his squad this month, with the Daggers struggling near the foot of the League Two table.
"It's very difficult to try and second guess how your situation's going to be," Still admitted. "Our injury situation has been absolute hell.
"Any time when the transfer window was closed we could have tried to do something, but here we are in January and hopefully our injuries are being eradicated.
"For the do-haves, it's easy to go out and get a number of players just in case. For the don't-haves, like ourselves, we have to be very careful."
