French full-back Romain Vincelot is relishing the chance to make his name with Dagenham & Redbridge.
The 24-year-old has penned an 18-month deal with the Daggers and made his debut as a substitute in last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Shrewsbury Town.
He told the Barking and Dagenham Post: "In July, I hadn't any club because I wanted to come to England, although I didn't think it would take as much time (as it did).
"I came here the first time in November for a trial, it was good, but I didn't make a contract in November.
"I went to Charlton and Brighton, but they had enough right-backs at the time and Dagenham called me back and I signed the contract with a lot of pleasure."
