Still wins with dignity

Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still claims he took no pleasure in condemning his former club Bristol Rovers to a demoralising 2-0 home defeat.Rovers have won twice in 13 games since Dave Penney replaced Paul Trollope and this was seen as a must-win game, but a stunning free-kick from Danny Green after Jerel Ifil had been sent off for a 44th-minute foul and an unmarked header from Romain Vincelot gave the Daggers' survival hopes a huge boost.Still said: "I had 18 months here, which I thoroughly enjoyed and got on really well with the supporters, so I'm sorry to see Rovers in so much trouble."It was billed as a big match for both teams, but every game is big for us because all the other clubs in this division are bigger than us."We've got to where we are by finding young players and improving them, while also building a good spirit. Whether that will be enough to keep us in this division remains to be seen."Danny Green is one of those young players and he's making a habit of scoring with brilliantly-struck free-kicks."
