Still talks up loanee Ritchie

Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still is hopeful that young loanee Matt Ritchie will prove to be a big hit during his time with the League Two club.

The 19-year-old made his Daggers debut in the 1-1 draw with Rotherham United last weekend and Still expects Ritchie to impress in the coming weeks.

He told the Ilford Recorder: "He's positive, runs at people, has a good left foot, wants to cross it and shoot.

"He can also come inside and play off people and he's a bit bouncy too.

"Portsmouth think quite a bit of him, so we'll hopefully get some good returns while he's here.

"I'm hoping he'll push on now and give us that little bit of extra balance we need."
