Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still has accepted that he is unlikely to have any money to spend this month to try and bolster his struggling squad.
The Daggers have struggled to establish themselves in their first season in the Football League and are currently 22nd in the table after just five wins in 24 games.
However, Still is preparing to soldier on with the players already at his disposal.
He told the club's official website: "Depending on resources I don't envisage too much coming in.
"I've no intention of banging on the chairman's door demanding money for players, because I don't want to jeopardise the financial stability of the club.
"I desperately want us to stay in the league, but not at such a high cost as the club's future.
"There's always the possibility of raising funds by selling some and I think that it is something that we will have to look at."
