Moore revelling in Daggers role

Dagenham & Redbridge striker Chris Moore has revealed that he is delighted to have been offered the chance to prove his worth in the Nationwide Conference.

The 23-year-old was snapped up by Daggers boss Garry Hill in November and has gone on to score five goals in just four starts for the club, including a brace in the 5-0 demolition of Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.

"I had interest from a club in Division One and from two clubs in Division Two, but nothing ever came of it," Moore told the Epping Forest Guardian.

"I never found out who the clubs were, but I had people telling me that there were people looking at me.

"This two-year contract with the Daggers is the first deal I've ever signed.

"I had never been offered a contract before that particularly appealed to me, but when Dagenham came in for me I thought it was a really professional, well-run club and I had no problems with signing."
