Ligament damage rules Doe out
Dagenham have confirmed defender Scott Doe is facing a spell on the sidelines after damaging ankle ligaments in the midweek defeat to Southampton.Doe limped off after 74 minutes of Tuesday night's 4-0 loss and will miss Saturday's FA Cup first-round tie against Leyton Orient.Physio John Gowens is hopeful of a swift return. He said: "During the Southampton game Doe unfortunately damaged ankle ligaments."He travelled back in a special boot we carry with us which helps protect the ankle and prevent any further damage. He wore the boot on the way back and overnight."On Wednesday morning we took a look at Scott to see how he was and his ankle was very sore. He therefore won't be available for Saturday`s game but we hope the injury won't keep him out for too long."
