Dagenham & Redbridge winger Dominic Green hopes to win a regular place in John Still's first-team plans after making his first start for the Daggers in the 3-0 win against Wrexham.

The teenager had made five previous appearances from the substitute's bench this season after starting the campaign on loan with Thurrock, but was pleased with his performance against the Red Dragons.

"When I've come on this season, I think I've done all right and I was delighted to start," Green told the Ilford Recorder.

"It was very enjoyable. I think that the manager has been easing me into the game to get me used to the pace, because it's a very high tempo.

"Towards the end of the match, my legs got a bit heavy. It was hard to play in all the mud but you try to adapt to it, do what the manager wants you to do and get down the line.

"Hopefully I can keep my place in the team now and we can push on to get some more wins under our belts."
