Gain extends Daggers stay

Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Peter Gain has signed a one-year extension to his current contract which will keep him with the club until the end of next season.

The 31-year-old moved to the Daggers from Peterborough United in January and has been a first-team regular ever since, scoring once in 34 starts for John Still's side.

Former Tottenham trainee Gain made his name at Lincoln City, featuring in more than 250 games for the Red Imps before joining Peterborough in the summer of 2005.

Still has also allowed Anthony Cook to join Carshalton Athletic on a month's loan.
