Doe signs Daggers deal

Dagenham and Redbridge have completed the signing of defender Scott Doe on loan after he was released by financially-crippled Weymouth.

Doe was unable to sign with the Daggers on a full contract as the transfer window has closed, so Kettering have agreed to sign the defender and loan him to the north London club for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old defender is highly rated by the Daggers staff and, after earning a place on the bench for last weekend's 1-1 draw with Chesterfield, is looking to make his first team debut for the club.

"It has been the most complicated time for me," Doe admitted to the Ilford Recorder.

"I've been registered as a Kettering player and I'm on an emergency loan to Dagenham, before I can sign for two years at the end of the season.

"I'm not expecting to come here and walk into the team, it's about getting to know the lads first. If I can get an appearance that would be great."
