Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still is pleased to have agreed a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper David Button on an emergency loan.
The 20-year-old will head to Victoria Road as cover for the injured Tony Roberts, with Still not wanting to pitch rookie David Hogan straight into some high-pressure games.
Still told the Ilford Recorder: "David is ready to come in, it's just a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
"It's not easy to get a goalkeeper at such a late stage in the season, but he is the first one we went for.
"If he comes in and does well, people will love him, he's got a chance to become a hero.
"Tony has possibly cracked a rib. He's certainly not fit for the next few weeks, maybe the rest of the season."
