Daggers snap up Taiwo

Dagenham & Redbridge have signed midfielder Solomon Taiwo from Blue Square South side Sutton United on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old made his debut during Tuesday's 1-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win at Leyton Orient.

Taiwo began his career at Millwall's academy before moving on to Charlton, Maidenhead and Weymouth before a brief spell in the USA.

Speaking about the trophy victory, manager John Still said: "We are on the back of a decent run, although we lost to a very good side at Darlington on Saturday.

"We played well then and in the two games before that and continued that here, so I think we are in decent form.

"We played some decent football at a decent place. We had a little bit of luck with the goal but we were deserved winners."
