Daggers seek new blood
09 Jun 2009 - 06:59:53
Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still is scouting for a new striker and defender as he prepares for the departures of Danny Foster and Ben Strevens.
Foster has been offered a new contract but is being eyed up by Brentford.
Daggers boss John Still told the Ilford Recorder: "We have offered Danny a new contract and he will get back to us on that, but I am well aware there might be other clubs interested in him.
"I've been speaking to other full-backs as well as I'm always ahead of what's going on, but if he can get a better deal for himself elsewhere then he has to think about it."
On Strevens, Still added: "I knew that Strevs would be going, so I'm quite far down the line with that.
"I've spoken to various players, so if they get back to me with a positive answer, then everything should be tied up."
Richard Graham, Jacob Erskine, Michael Alaile, Richard Priest and Kraig Rochester are all surplus to requirements at the club, while Jon Boardman has already left for Woking.
