Daggers miss out on Feeney

Dagenham & Redbridge's bid to sign midfielder Liam Feeney from Salisbury City has ended in failure.

Feeney was expected to join the Daggers on loan, with a permanent deal to be finalised in the New Year.

However, a statement on the League Two club's official website read: "The club can confirm they were in talks with both Salisbury and Liam Feeney and were very optimistic of the player signing for the Daggers.

"Unfortunately, while we were able to agree personal terms with Liam, we were not able to agree terms with Salisbury City."

Meanwhile, the Dagegrs have extended winger Matt Ritchie's loan stay into a third and final month.

The 19-year-old has impressed for John Still's side since arriving from Portsmouth towards the end of September.
