Daggers duo interest Scott

Dagenham & Redbridge duo Ben Strevens and Sam Saunders are being linked with a move to League Two champions Brentford.

Bees boss Andy Scott is confident he will eventually land the two players, even though they are attracting interest from several other clubs.

Scott said: "Both players did very well last season, and I'm interested in them. I've spoken to their agents, so we'll see what happens.

"Other clubs will be interested, but I'd like to think when I show them what we're doing here, they'll see a move to Brentford is beneficial to both sides.

"With Charlie MacDonald possibly out for the start of the season, we need to improve our strike-rate from the right wing, it's no secret we struggled there at times last season."

However, Scott has played down rumours linking him with a move for former Oldham Athletic defender Stefan Stam, adding: "Stefan's a player I'm aware of, but I've not spoken to him.

"There will be lots of speculation flying around, but I've spoken to hundreds of agents and have plenty of options."
